Pet Houses
All pets require some form of shelter and housing, and each different species of pet will require a different house. For dogs that live outdoors kennels will often be the housing of choice and can come in all shapes and sizes from small wood structures to large scale metal kennels which can house multiple dogs. The more pampered pooches that live indoors can be treated to more comfortable beds, often cushioned and certainly a much warmer proposition than a wooden kennel out in the garden!
For other more exotic pets the houses often provide the means to create the suitable habitat that the pets require. For example if you have a pet reptile or lizard, you will need a terrarium or vivarium for them to live in, this is their house but crucially it helps produce the necessary environment for them to live safely and happily. Terrariums require heating and vivarium lighting in order to create a replica of the reptile’s natural environment.
Pets such as guinea pigs and rabbits are ideal for children and require a hutch for them to safely live in and keep warm. Typically for rabbits kept outdoors these hutches are constructed from wood and are partitioned to form multiple living areas. Guinea pigs are wonderful animals and are best kept indoors, for this purpose a cage with a plastic bottom is ideal to ensure your house remains clean!
